🥘 One-burner wisdom
- Cook outside when you can. Steam inside a vehicle becomes condensation, and condensation becomes mould.
- One pot, one bowl, one spork. Every extra item is something to wash with water you carried.
- Unwashed eggs keep for weeks without refrigeration. Hard cheese, cabbage, carrots, onions and squash all last.
- Rice, lentils, tortillas, peanut butter and tinned fish are the backbone of a cheap road pantry.
- Boil water at night, fill a bottle, put it in your sleeping bag. Warm bed and tomorrow's coffee water in one move.
- Never cook with propane in a sealed vehicle. Crack two windows, every single time.
