🐻 Wildlife safety

• Never store food, toothpaste or scented items where a bear can smell them. In bear country use a canister or a hang.
• Give every animal space. If it changes its behaviour because of you, you are too close.
• Rattlesnakes want to avoid you. Watch where you put hands and feet, and step onto rocks rather than over them.
• Never feed anything. A fed animal usually ends up a dead animal.
• Dawn and dusk are peak wildlife hours, and also when most vehicle collisions happen.
